What do you do
When your sky isn’t blue
Now your dreams just won’t come true
And you’ve tried every avenue
What do you do
When you call but can’t get through
Now there’s no one to turn to
Same old thing it’s déjà vu
I need some help figuring things out
I need faith to deal with all this doubt
We may never know the reason why
Try and find a way to just get by
How do you stand
When there’s no help at hand
Now you’re deep in the quicksand
And when you fly
You just crash-land
How do you smile
When things always take a while
And it feels life’s not worthwhile
And you’ve gone the extra mile
It’s gonna be alright
It’s gonna be OK
It’s gonna be alright
I promise you’ll smile again

Like so many others, this came like a bolt out of the blue and, even though it's well before payday, I had to have this astonishing album on vinyl to prove it exists. The feel of the tunes makes me feel like the Impressions do, Curtis Mayfield, the big spaces and instinctive horns and stuff drifting in and out. Great grooves and I can see lots of ghosts nodding along to this with big smiles on their faces. At last! Anthony Cottrell
